Summary:
Support hardware quality engineering initiatives focused on ensuring compliance, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence for aerospace and defense products at the Oldsmar facility.
Collaborate with Quality Program Managers (QPMs), manufacturing teams, engineering organizations, and partner sites to improve quality processes and product reliability.
Lead root cause investigations, defect trend analysis, and corrective/preventive action activities to drive systemic quality improvements.
Support quality assurance activities for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), cable assemblies, and box-level systems manufactured for internal and multi-site customers.
Develop and refine inspection methods, testing procedures, and automated quality solutions to improve inspection efficiency and reduce manufacturing defects.
Utilize Tableau dashboards, predictive analytics, and AI-driven inspection technologies to monitor production metrics and support data-driven decision making.
Contribute to process standardization and quality system alignment across multiple programs and manufacturing locations.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across manufacturing sites, engineering teams, and program organizations.
Familiarity with AS9100 standards or equivalent aerospace quality systems and standards.
Understanding of:
Hardware engineering requirements
Systems integration and testing processes
Manufacturing quality systems and controls
Experience supporting production quality, engineering evaluations, and process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization and analytics platforms.
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement/problem-solving methodology experience.
Experience supporting aerospace hardware commodities including:
Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
Cable assemblies
Box-level systems
Familiarity with IPC and J-STD standards related to electronic assemblies and component quality.
Experience with automation systems, predictive analytics, or AI-based inspection technologies.
