Operations Lead (Supply Chain / Manufacturing)
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034 (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $38.93/Hour
As the EACS Operations Lead, you will serve as a critical link between manufacturing operations, supply chain, and program leadership. You will help ensure production schedules are achievable, materials are available, risks are proactively managed, and operational disruptions are resolved quickly and effectively.
Your work will directly impact production continuity, customer delivery performance, and overall operational readiness across aerospace programs.
Maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all operational activities
Partner with Program Managers to ensure clear, effective communication of manufacturing plans and operational performance
Drive rapid resolution of issues related to quality, supply chain constraints, and operational performance
Develop and optimize inventory strategies and production schedules based on:
Demand forecasts
Lead times
Capacity constraints
Inventory targets
Material availability
Identify and mitigate future risks to operational performance through proactive planning
Facilitate closure of Supplier Requests for Information (SRI) and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities
Support material substitution and Last-Time-Buy (LTB) initiatives to ensure supply continuity
Provide input into Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) processes
Support Product Line Teams in production readiness assessments and gap closure actions
Drive alignment of labor, tooling, and equipment capacity with short- and long-term demand requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, OR
Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in Quality, Operations, or Supply Chain Management, including New Product Introduction (NPI)
Strong background in manufacturing or aerospace production environments
Proven ability to manage operational risk and resolve supply chain or production issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration experience with cross-functional teams and program leadership
Experience with SI&OP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes
Strong customer and stakeholder relationship management skills
Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
Background in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
Proven ability to drive structured problem-solving and execution discipline in complex environments
