Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance and Repair
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months or temp to perm)
Location: Wichita, KS 67209
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.04 per hour
As part of the maintenance and repair team, you’ll play a key role in restoring and servicing aircraft components that are critical to flight operations. Your work will directly support safety, quality, and reliability standards in the aviation industry.
Perform basic to semi-complex aircraft maintenance and scheduled/unscheduled repairs
Handle and maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes, including rolling and lifting
Complete painting functions including mixing primer/paint and applying coatings
Maintain shop equipment and support overall repair operations
Apply Five S principles to create and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
Identify opportunities to remove waste and improve processes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement events
Proactively identify and help eliminate workplace safety hazards
Provide limited training and guidance to other Component Technicians when qualified
Follow all hazardous waste handling regulations including local, state, federal, and corporate requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations
High School Diploma or GED
Mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance or repair experience
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and more with lift assist or buddy system
Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work in a repair and overhaul shop environment
Previous aircraft maintenance, automotive, manufacturing, or industrial repair experience
Experience with painting, coatings, or finishing processes
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Experience using hand tools, shop equipment, and repair documentation
Ability to train or mentor team members
