Summary:
Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, fabrication, and modification activities on corporate or commercial aircraft interiors under limited supervision.
Install and fabricate interior components including galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, side ledges, doors, panels, trim, carpeting, cabinetry, and soundproofing materials in accordance with company and FAA standards.
Coordinate with Quality Inspection and supervision to ensure compliance with repair station procedures, FAA regulations, and quality specifications.
Mentor and train Interior Installation Technicians while reviewing completed work to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
Lead projects and support scheduling, material procurement, documentation, and coordination with other departments as required.
Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts demand, track discrepancies, and complete work sign-offs.
Support process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize cycle times.
Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards while operating hand and power tools in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
Requirements:
Advanced experience with aircraft interior installation, fabrication, and modification processes.
Experience installing and removing:
Galleys
Closets
Lavatories
Bulkheads
Doors and panels
Side ledges and cabinetry
Experience working with aircraft interior materials including:
Nomex honeycomb panels
Fiberglass
Lexan
Acrylic materials
Composite structures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and fabrication machinery.
Experience removing and reinstalling aircraft fasteners, nut plates, inserts, and hardware fittings.
Ability to mentor junior technicians and oversee assigned projects or tasks.
Strong computer literacy and experience using material tracking systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders/stairs, lift up to 40 pounds, and work flexible shifts.
Must be fluent in English.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
