JOB TITLE: Embedded Software Engineer

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Develop embedded software including device drivers, bootloaders, and built-in-test (BIT) libraries

Design, code, test, and debug software for real-time systems (RTOS) environments

Develop in C targeting LynxOS / LynxElement RTOS

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software, FPGA, and hardware interfaces

Integrate custom hardware and FPGA with software in lab environments

Support system integration, testing, and performance validation

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and system issues

Develop and maintain technical documentation

Participate in certification activities (requirements reviews, code reviews, compliance)

Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards, processes, and tools

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Experience in embedded software development

Proficiency in C programming

Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS)

Experience with low-level software (drivers, bootloaders, hardware interfaces)

Ability to work in a lab environment with hardware integration

Familiarity with software development lifecycle, testing, and debugging

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
