Summary:
Design, develop, test, and maintain safety-critical embedded software
Translate customer and system requirements into scalable software architectures and detailed designs
Implement and optimize software components and algorithms for performance and integration
Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements traceability, design docs, test plans, release notes)
Lead verification and validation (V&V) activities (unit, integration, system, regression)
Produce certification evidence and safety artifacts
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, system issues, and field problems
Support technical inquiries and user feedback, driving continuous improvements
Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and regulatory updates
Establish and improve development processes, toolchains, and KPIs
Lead or support R&D efforts and feasibility studies
Perform project management activities (schedule, risk, resource planning)
Manage suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with technical and program requirements
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Bachelor s degree in a technical field with 9+ years of experience, or equivalent (Master s +7 years, PhD +4 years; ABET preferred)
Strong experience in embedded and safety-critical software development
Expertise in software architecture, system design, and lifecycle management
Experience developing Mission Systems software architecture
Proficiency in MBSE, UML, and SysML
Ability to translate requirements into scalable architecture patterns
Experience with verification, validation, and certification processes
Experience with legacy systems, reverse engineering, and refactoring
Knowledge of product line development / software architecture
Strong problem-solving and system optimization skills
Proven ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams
