PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in aerospace and defense innovation, to hire a Microelectronic Technician supporting cutting-edge molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) operations. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced materials science and next-generation aerospace technology.


Role Summary & Impact

As a Microelectronic Technician, you will play a hands-on role in the development and support of advanced semiconductor and microelectronic systems used in aerospace, defense, and sensor technologies. Your work directly contributes to the research and production of highly specialized devices that power critical systems in space, aviation, and national security applications.

Working alongside materials science engineers and equipment specialists, you will help ensure precision, reliability, and innovation in one of the most technically advanced cleanroom environments in the industry.


What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Support research and development of microelectronic, opto-electronic, and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)
  • Assist in the fabrication and testing of semiconductor-based devices and integrated circuits
  • Operate within a cleanroom environment supporting molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) processes
  • Develop and apply inspection and testing procedures for micro-components and micro-systems
  • Handle semiconductor wafers with precision and care according to strict process requirements
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to support experimentation, process improvement, and device development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support data tracking using Microsoft Office tools
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 30–40 pounds as needed
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, cleanroom or controlled environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor wafer handling
  • Prior cleanroom experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment
  • Exposure to microelectronics, MEMS, or semiconductor fabrication processes
  • Familiarity with laboratory or high-precision technical environments

Pay Details: $65.48 per hour
