PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aviation leader, to hire an Employee Development Specialist who will help build the next generation of aerospace manufacturing talent. Role Summary & Impact

As an Employee Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in onboarding and training new hires while strengthening workforce capability across critical aerospace operations. You’ll deliver hands-on instruction, coach employees to success, and ensure training programs align with safety, quality, and production excellence standards.

Your work will directly support the future of aerospace manufacturing by helping employees gain the skills needed to connect, protect, explore, and inspire.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

• Conduct learning needs assessments and establish clear training objectives
• Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on training programs for new hires and existing employees
• Teach specialized aerospace manufacturing content in areas such as Structural, Electrical, Quality, Systems, and related disciplines
• Coach individuals and teams to improve performance, productivity, and technical capability
• Observe, assess, and track trainee progress while providing actionable feedback
• Customize learning materials, presentations, guides, and instructional methods based on learner needs
• Facilitate knowledge transfer through group learning events and on-the-job coaching
• Promote safety awareness and ensure all training reflects required safety standards
• Manage classroom dynamics and maintain a productive learning environment
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify additional instructors
• Ensure courseware and training delivery comply with company, government, and regulatory requirements
• Recommend process improvements based on assessments and performance outcomes

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
• Experience in coaching, instructing, mentoring, or employee development
• Experience working with detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to engage learners in both classroom and hands-on environments
• Willingness to work variable 1st or 2nd shifts based on business needs
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Comfortable working in environments where chemicals may be used in course delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Lean certifications
• Experience in Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, or Systems operations
• Hands-on mechanic experience involving structural, mechanical, or electrical systems
• Experience in Electrician, Structure, Wing, or Spar Assembly environments
• Needs assessment and job analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
