Summary:
Lead structured investigations for FAA-related issues, including Letters of Investigation, Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, and Airworthiness Non-Compliances
Collaborate with engineering teams (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) to define problem statements and drive root cause analysis (RCCA)
Develop and implement containment, corrective, and preventive actions, including verification of non-recurrence
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, leadership, suppliers, and Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) to ensure regulatory alignment
Communicate investigation status and outcomes to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Support continuous improvement of processes, tools, and compliance methodologies across the enterprise
Lead and influence cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion of investigations
Requirements:
Bachelor s, Master s, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
9+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead, influence, and mentor cross-functional teams
Experience managing complex technical projects and investigations
Must meet Export Control requirements (U.S. Person status required)
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, BPSM)
Knowledge of FAA regulatory compliance and ODA procedures (8100.15)
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
Background in commercial aircraft systems or systems integration (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels)
Familiarity with aircraft certification, safety requirements, and operations
Pilot s License and/or A&P License
