Position Details

• Job Title: Business Operations Specialist

• Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1–2 days in office per week)

• Primary Locations: Arlington, VA | Everett, WA

• Additional Potential Locations: Auburn, WA | Charleston, SC | Mesa, AZ | Renton, WA | Seal Beach, CA | St. Louis City, MO

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Pay Rate: $45 - $50/Hour

What You’ll Do

As a Business Operations Specialist, you will help guide product direction, optimize business processes, and deliver impactful analytics solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related decisions and data delivery priorities

• Ensure the Data Management Office delivers the right data at the right time with maximum business value

• Partner with engineering, design, QA, IT, and business leaders to define product vision and roadmap

• Maintain, prioritize, and refine Agile Release Train (ART) and system backlogs including features, enablers, and process improvements

• Define objectives, acceptance criteria, readiness requirements, and measurable success outcomes

• Balance operational support needs (KTLO) with innovation and new project work

• Identify cross-team dependencies, risks, and opportunities proactively

• Use metrics such as velocity, predictability, defect leakage, and carryover to guide prioritization decisions

• Translate business demand into actionable backlog items and deliverable solutions

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives

• Ensure delivery of high-quality data products including dashboards, datasets, APIs, alerts, and insights

• Build strong partnerships with leadership teams, vendors, consultants, and enterprise stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Agile methodologies, or Product Management for large-scale programs focused on data integration and analytics

• At least 1 year of direct Product Management and/or Product Development experience

• Proven success delivering customer-focused, data-driven solutions

• Strong experience working with engineering teams using Agile and iterative development methodologies

• Experience leading end-to-end delivery of business intelligence tools such as dashboards, APIs, or real-time alerts

• Knowledge of procurement, expense management, and treasury business processes

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to solve complex problems and execute strategic solutions

• Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading teams

• Background delivering analytics solutions in aviation, manufacturing, engineering, or energy sectors

• Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
