PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a Manufacturing Engineer who’s ready to turn engineering concepts into world-class production reality. In this role, you’ll drive efficiency, quality, and innovation across manufacturing processes that directly impact how aircraft components are built, assembled, and delivered.
What You’ll Do
You won’t just support manufacturing—you’ll improve, optimize, and redefine it.
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, production methods, and workflows
Develop detailed manufacturing plans, including sequence of operations and assembly methodologies
Author clear, precise work instructions to drive efficiency and achieve zero-defect outcomes
Create and maintain MBOMs in systems like SAP, Solumina, or Corridor to ensure accurate production builds
Conduct productibility studies from engineering drawings to enhance manufacturability
Partner with Engineering on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives
Lead technical studies and prepare recommendations for tooling, equipment, and production improvements
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and improve performance
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions, including rework instructions
Support supplier evaluations, make-or-buy decisions, and vendor issue resolution
Utilize data analysis and statistical methods to forecast manufacturing needs and performance
Collaborate cross-functionally to implement projects across multiple teams
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards
Audit processes and outputs to maintain adherence to procedures and continuous improvement goals
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 18 months of experience in manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical role
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, blueprint reading, and shop math
Experience with systems such as SAP, CATIA, Solumina, or similar tools
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
Ability to independently analyze problems and implement effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing environments
Familiarity with engineering configuration control and production systems
