Airworthiness & Regulatory Compliance Engineer
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to support a leader in the aviation industry in Everett, WA. In this role, you’ll lead investigations, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and help ensure aircraft systems continue to meet the highest regulatory and safety standards.
As part of the Safety & Compliance Investigations team, you’ll play a key role in identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and supporting long-term compliance initiatives across the aircraft lifecycle.
Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations involving regulatory compliance and airworthiness concerns
Partner with engineering teams across Systems, Structures, Payloads, and Propulsion to resolve technical issues
Develop clear problem statements, identify systemic root causes, and implement containment and prevention strategies
Coordinate with internal leadership, suppliers, and stakeholders to communicate investigation progress and outcomes
Work closely with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) teams to ensure documentation meets regulatory expectations
Support continuous improvement of safety, compliance, and investigation processes
Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
5+ years of related engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead projects and collaborate across diverse teams
Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work 100% onsite in Everett, WA
Experience with RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or structured problem-solving methods
Knowledge of commercial aircraft operations, certification, and safety requirements
Familiarity with FAA regulatory compliance and ODA procedures
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
Background in aircraft systems design, analysis, or integration (Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuel Systems, etc.)
Pilot’s License or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

Competitive pay from $55 to $67 hour
Full-time consultant assignment for 12 months
First shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
