Job Type: Full-time | Consultant (6 Months)
Pay Rate: $51.36 per hour
PDS Tech is seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to support advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing programs in Hazelwood, MO. Position Overview
As a Quality Engineer, you will represent the Quality function across program activities, supplier assessments, design reviews, process validations, and manufacturing readiness efforts. You’ll help integrate quality system requirements, develop certification plans, evaluate processes, and drive corrective action initiatives.
This position suits a proactive, solutions oriented engineer who enjoys working cross functionally to improve quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Represent the Quality function to integrate contractual and quality system requirements into proposals, processes, and documentation
Provide clear, accurate interpretation of Quality requirements
Develop quality metrics and certification plans to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and organizational standards
Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection
Participate in design reviews to ensure quality considerations are embedded early
Perform analyses, testing, inspections, and process audits to confirm manufacturing and test readiness
Provide material review dispositions for non conformances
Analyze non conformance trends and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions
Recommend and support corrective and preventive actions
Conduct benchmarking and other analyses to confirm process capability levels
Support continuous improvement under general direction
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
Engineering
Computer Science
Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology)
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
1+ years interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
3+ years performing data analysis
1+ years experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Action
1+ years experience with quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace industry experience
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
Experience supporting fabrication, subsystem integration, or production readiness
Familiarity with complex manufacturing or defense related environments
