PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a 24-month full-time contract opportunity. As the Transportation Management System (TMS) Inbound Supply Chain Manager, you’ll serve as the key point of contact for sites and suppliers regarding inbound TMS implementation. Your expertise will help optimize transportation networks, improve supplier collaboration, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain performance across a complex and fast-moving organization.
In this role, you will lead initiatives that improve inbound logistics operations and system performance, including:
Acting as the primary North America contact for inbound TMS implementation across sites and suppliers
Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, productivity, and system enhancements
Partnering with third-party TMS providers to define requirements, support launches, and ensure sustainable post-go-live success
Leading efforts to achieve transportation cost savings and operational targets
Collaborating with logistics leaders, suppliers, carriers, buyers, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipping compliance and process standardization
Monitoring transportation performance and providing feedback to preferred carrier partners
Managing design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of logistics workflows and TMS updates
Ensuring system integrations are properly mapped with accurate data inputs and outputs
Creating and maintaining documentation for standard work, training, and aligned processes
Presenting project scope, milestones, and status updates to senior leadership, PMO teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
Supporting additional strategic initiatives as assigned
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
In lieu of degree, 9+ years of relevant supply chain or logistics experience
Strong background in transportation, inbound logistics, or supply chain operations
Experience leading projects and working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and drive measurable improvements
Must reside in North America and be able to travel up to 20%
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with domestic and international freight operations in North America
Background implementing logistics improvement projects across multiple transportation modes (parcel, air, truckload, LTL, dedicated carriage)
Experience with large-scale Transportation Management System (TMS) implementations
Aerospace or industrial industry experience preferred
ERP experience (SAP preferred)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Pareto analysis
Certifications such as ISM or APICS are valued
