Role Summary & Impact

As a Retail Sales Specialist, you will be the face of a dynamic retail store serving employees and visitors within a leading aviation organization. Your role is essential in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and professional shopping experience while ensuring smooth daily operations, strong inventory control, and accurate point-of-sale execution.

Schedule & Compensation

• Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
• Location: Hazelwood, MO
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Pay Rate:Starting at $22.10  per hour

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Process customer transactions using POS systems with accuracy and integrity
• Open and close the store following established procedures
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve inquiries professionally
• Receive, process, and track incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments
• Maintain inventory accuracy, stock levels, and organized stockroom operations
• Execute merchandising standards, floor sets, and product displays
• Process returns, exchanges, Mark Out of Stock (MOS), and Return to Vendor (RTV) items
• Coordinate inter-store transfers and special customer orders
• Support annual inventory counts and ongoing cycle counts
• Restock merchandise and ensure shelves are consistently organized and appealing
• Monitor store safety, cleanliness, and facility maintenance needs
• Communicate customer concerns and operational issues to leadership

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of retail, customer service, or related experience (or equivalent education/experience combination)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
• Professional demeanor and commitment to customer satisfaction

Preferred:

• Previous experience in retail sales or inventory-heavy environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
• Experience handling POS systems, inventory tracking, or stockroom operations
• Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in changing priorities
