PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a talented Software Engineer-Developer for a full-time, 12-month consultant opportunity in St. Charles, MO. If you’re passionate about embedded systems, real-time software, and solving complex engineering challenges, this is your chance to contribute to advanced aerospace and defense technologies that make a global impact.

In this role, you’ll support a growing Precision Engagement Systems team developing software for mission-critical platforms used by the United States and allied nations worldwide. Your expertise will help power next-generation precision-guided systems, cruise missile platforms, and advanced operational flight software.

What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer-Developer, you will work with a multi-discipline engineering team across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including:

• Designing, developing, and implementing Operational Flight Program software solutions
• Supporting real-time embedded software applications for advanced aerospace platforms
• Collaborating in an Agile development environment with cross-functional engineering teams
• Developing software solutions using Ada, C#, and Python
• Creating models, simulations, and support applications
• Testing software and assisting with system-level verification activities
• Analyzing problem reports and troubleshooting software defects
• Supporting software configuration management and DevOps methodologies
• Developing and tracing software requirements
• Gaining leadership experience while contributing to high-priority customer programs
• Working directly with United States Air Force and Navy customers on select initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development
• 3+ years of experience developing software using object-oriented principles
• 3+ years of experience working in a collaborative team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in St. Charles, MO

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or related technical field
• Experience with Ada, Python, or C#
• Experience in an Agile software development environment
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems
• Experience developing and tracing software requirements
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance
