Summary:
Plan and lead R&D programs; recommend technological applications aligned with corporate objectives
Drive process improvements to optimize product performance, cost, and schedule
Apply advanced theories and emerging technologies with a high degree of innovation and technical expertise
Develop and champion new ideas, concepts, and engineering principles
Operate with significant independence, setting objectives and determining approaches for critical assignments
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert, providing guidance to senior and executive leadership internally and externally
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
15+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience in a specific technical discipline
Advanced degree credit may be applied toward experience:
Master s degree: up to 2 years
PhD: up to 4 years (in a relevant field)
Requires approval by Engineering PRB, including business justification
Demonstrated high level of technical expertise and innovation appropriate for senior-level engineering roles
Ability to influence strategic direction and contribute to high-impact technical decisions
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
