Pay Rate: $38.88/hr ($33.79/hr + $5.09 H&W)

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading force in the aviation industry to hire a skilled Aircraft Painter for a high-impact role supporting the C-17 paint team in San Antonio. In this position, your expertise will directly contribute to the quality, safety, and performance of critical aircraft.

What You’ll Do

As an Aircraft Painter, you will:

• Prepare aircraft surfaces through sanding, masking, and cleaning processes
• Mix and apply paint, coatings, epoxies, and finishes using spray guns, brushes, and rollers
• Remove old paint using approved chemical methods and tools
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications (DPS), and technical instructions
• Apply markings, insignias, and stencils with accuracy
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
• Handle, use, and properly dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ year of hands-on aircraft or industrial painting experience
• Experience with sanding, taping, mixing materials, and paint application
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (1st & 2nd)
• Comfortable working at heights with fall protection equipment
• Ability to obtain Fall Protection Certification (OSHA standards)
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience on military or commercial aircraft platforms
• Familiarity working with hazardous chemicals in regulated environments

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 35 lbs)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and working on elevated platforms
• Regular exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents, and varying environmental conditions
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times
