These positions are for both 1st and 2nd shift. Candidates must be open to both shifts and will be assigned one or the other at time of offer.
100% onsite.
Primary Responsibilities: • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies. • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. • Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build. • Lead and implement manufacturing plans. • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements. • Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices. • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. • Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule. • Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts. • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems. • Implement lean principles and technologies Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): • Must have a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification. • 5+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience • 5+ years of engineering experience related to the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and process specifications for production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 5+ years of experience in production planning, including ownership of value stream build plans. • Experience with 787 systems, build plans, production testing, electrical installations, and/or aircraft interiors is a plus. • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a diverse and demanding work environment and schedule.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
