As a Machinist I, you’ll be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing high-precision metal parts using mechanical equipment. You’ll work from blueprints and design sketches, ensuring that every part meets exact specifications. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their technical skills in machining while making a real impact in a critical industry.
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components using various mechanical equipment.
Utilize blueprints and design sketches to ensure precise measurements, tolerances, and quality standards for each part.
Assemble sub-units and complete units, ensuring that all parts are in compliance with industry specifications.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Follow established guidelines and instructions to complete job functions with a focus on accuracy and detail.
Operate machinery and equipment safely, including the use of Powered Industrial Trucks, as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
0-2 years of experience in machining or a similar field.
Strong familiarity with blueprints and design sketches.
Ability to work effectively under immediate supervision and follow established guidelines.
Willingness to operate machinery safely and follow health and safety protocols.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Certification or technical training related to machining or the aerospace industry (a plus).
Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards for manufacturing aerospace components.
Experience in operating Powered Industrial Trucks (or similar heavy equipment).
