Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Lab Technician 1 for a contract opportunity in Seattle, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Active Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems. Facilitates systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down. Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots basic laboratory and test-related problems. Works under close supervision.

TASKS DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES - Obtain appropriate drawings, Client specification, documents and/or sketches, using online computing systems.- Perform system installation measurement using general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and troubleshoot if measurement are not within specification- Install, remove, or modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using various mechanical and electrical hand tools to bring wiring to engineering specifications per non-conformance reports, and Client specifications. Troubleshoot and repair faults, as required. - Assist in the development method and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when methods and procedures have not been established.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES - Effectively accomplishing the tasks, duties and responsibilities of this job requires at least these attributes.- Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (basic understanding of Ohms law, series and parallel resistance calculations, Faraday's law of induction, Kirchhoff's Current Law) .- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.- Operate general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types) and interpret results.- Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting and terminating wires and/or wire bundles in electrical systems and assemblies, per the appropriate electrical codes.- Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams to determine faulty components to replace and/or repair.- Effectively communicate information.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited AA degree in related discipline.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

ADDITIONAL:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
Domestic & International Travel required: there will potentially be both at some point, but this is very rarely.
