Location: Dallas, TX | Pay Rate: $30.17hour | Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 1am)
Your Work Powers Every Flight
As an Avionics Installer, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the electrical systems that keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently. From wiring harnesses to full system installations, your precision and craftsmanship directly impact performance, reliability, and safety in the skies.
What You’ll Do Every Day
You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced aerospace environment, supporting the installation and integration of avionics systems:
Assist with removal and installation of avionics and electrical components
Fabricate wire harnesses and perform terminations, routing, and connections
Install and modify wiring, fixtures, and electrical systems using blueprints and engineering drawings
Perform ring-outs and functional testing of avionics systems
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications
Inspect your work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
Follow safety programs including FOD prevention, tool control, and 5S standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics OR two (2) years of related work experience OR an avionics certificate with one (1) year of experience
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer and software proficiency
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with avionics installation in aerospace or aviation environments
Familiarity with wiring harness fabrication and electrical testing
Experience with continuous improvement practices (e.g., Kaizen, Lean)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
