PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in aviation and aerospace manufacturing to hire a Financial Analyst supporting high-impact programs within the Commercial Seating and Furniture business. This is a hands-on, analytical role where your financial expertise will directly influence program performance, profitability, and long-term business strategy.

Based in Winston-Salem, NC, this 12-month contract offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, operations, program management, and FP&A teams—bringing financial clarity to complex, fast-moving aerospace programs.

Role Summary & Impact

As a Financial Analyst, you will serve as a key financial partner supporting program planning and control activities. Your work will help ensure financial accuracy, forecast reliability, and strategic alignment across moderate to complex aerospace programs.

You will analyze business cases, evaluate cost structures, track program performance, and deliver insights that guide decision-making at both the program and leadership level. Your analysis will directly impact profitability, cost control, and long-term investment decisions in a highly regulated and performance-driven industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new business cases and validate estimation methods for program accuracy and profitability
• Ensure cross-functional alignment on financial assumptions, cost structures, and recoverability
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting on program performance, net investment, and recoverability positions
• Develop cost and sales forecasts and perform variance analysis against plans and prior forecasts
• Support Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Planning activities for assigned programs
• Identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities in partnership with program teams
• Prepare and present quarterly Estimates at Completion (EAC) for complex aerospace programs
• Maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness and financial compliance
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and data integrity
• Solve complex financial problems using structured analysis and sound judgment
• Influence program decisions through financial insights and data-driven recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Master’s degree (Finance, Accounting, MBA, or related field) with 3+ years of experience OR
  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Program Planning & Control (PP&C) experience
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, IF statements, VLOOKUPs)
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments
• Familiarity with Percentage of Completion accounting methods
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA
