Responsibilities for a Gas Power Engineering Learning & Operations Specialist include but are not limited to:

• Own and coordinate new hire onboarding readiness for Gas Power Engineering teams in Schenectady, with virtual support for other sites.

• Ensure Day 1 readiness, including systems access, communications, onboarding schedules, and training support.

• Provide end‑to‑end coordination for technical training sessions, seminars, and early‑career development events.

• Support the planning and execution of foundational technical learning experiences, including A‑Course and B‑Course learning events.

• Deliver standardized onboarding and professional skills training sessions.

• Facilitate onboarding sessions focused on company values, culture, and professional business etiquette.

• Educate new engineers on the importance of mentorship, internal networking, and productivity best practices.

• Develop and maintain standardized onboarding materials, training documentation, and operational processes.

• Reduce administrative burden on engineering leaders, instructors, and program owners through consistent, reliable operational support.

Candidates for Gas Power Engineering Learning & Operations Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

• Experience in onboarding, learning operations, training coordination, or program management.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort facilitating group sessions.

• Proven ability to work with technical or engineering audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting early‑career engineering programs.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and corporate training platforms.

• Experience working in large, matrixed organizations.
