Location: Appleton, WI | Payrate: $120.09 | Schedule: 6am to 4:30 pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find an experienced and visionary Engineer ready to tackle some of the most complex challenges in modern aviation. In this role, you’ll apply deep technical expertise to develop cutting-edge solutions that shape the future of aircraft design, systems integration, and onboard experience. Your work will directly influence innovation, performance, and safety across next-generation aircraft.
What You’ll Do
You won’t just contribute—you’ll lead. This role places you at the forefront of engineering excellence, where your ideas and expertise drive meaningful change.
Lead engineering projects involving complex, high-impact technical challenges
Design and develop new and derivative aircraft interior systems, furnishings, and amenities
Create and interpret system-level wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Integrate electrical systems across avionics, lighting, and in-flight entertainment platforms
Perform Electrical Load Analysis (ELA) and ensure system performance and compliance
Develop and interpret technical specifications and testing procedures
Apply and advance design standards aligned with 14 CFR Part 25 Subpart H (EWIS)
Champion new technologies and drive R&D initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Provide expert technical guidance and serve as a trusted advisor across teams
Independently research, develop, and implement innovative engineering methods
Establish engineering standards and best practices for broader organizational use
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of experience in a specific technical discipline (Bachelor’s level)
Strong background in electrical systems design and integration for aircraft
Proficiency with tools such as Capital Harness (CHS/XC), AutoCAD, or similar 2D electrical design software
Experience performing system-level Electrical Load Analysis (ELA)
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 Subpart H (EWIS) design requirements
Ability to develop and interpret technical and test specifications
Proven ability to make high-level technical decisions and lead engineering direction
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or related discipline
Experience with CATIA V5
Part 25 certification experience for aircraft cabin interiors
Familiarity with Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) procedures
Demonstrated leadership in driving innovation and implementing new technologies
