Summary:
Plan and perform structural analysis at the subcomponent level to ensure compliance with requirements.
Develop solutions across a broad portfolio, including resolving supplier-related issues.
Review and approve analysis results.
Guide and mentor less experienced engineers.
Collaborate with team managers, leads, and cross-functional engineering groups.
Work with project engineers, stress teams, suppliers, and procurement to ensure analysis approval.
Represent the team independently in supplier interactions.
Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet program requirements.
Develop and improve analytical processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Support design release processes, tooling issues, and supplier-driven changes.
Interpret and apply industry and company standards and processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
8+ years of experience in structures and/or payload design engineering.
5+ years of experience in a commercial aircraft environment.
Experience with 2D/3D design and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience with design release processes, policies, and procedures.
Experience handling tooling issues and supplier-driven changes.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of design engineering experience in a commercial aircraft environment.
5+ years of experience in production, subcomponents, or spares.
1+ year of experience leading engineering teams.
