JOB TITLE: Materials Handler
LOCATION: Mojave, CA
PAY RATE: $28-30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (6+ months with potential for extension)

Schedule: Monday Friday | 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

Summary:

Inspect incoming freight, document damage, and resolve freight claims.

Perform inbound receiving and accurately enter deliveries into ERP systems.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to stakeholders.

Complete inventory transactions for receiving and issuing materials.

Operate pallet jacks, lift trucks, and related equipment to move materials.

Maintain FIFO and proper material identification.

Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory accuracy.

Issue materials to appropriate cost centers with proper authorization.

Verify incoming documentation and certifications.

Ensure timely delivery of stock and non-stock items.

Collaborate with Procurement and Production Control teams.

Support shipping, receiving, kitting, and inventory process improvements.

Deliver kits and materials to internal and external locations on time.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

2+ years of experience in a supply chain or materials environment.

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred).

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience with inventory systems (ERP; Oracle/Apriso preferred).

Familiarity with freight carriers (FedEx, UPS, trucking companies).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and move materials up to 200 lbs with equipment.

Valid driver s license required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
