Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assembler B's for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): •1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing. •1+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials. •1+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting. •1+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications. •1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. • Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair. • Assesses and documents test or analysis data to show compliance. • Identifies roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication. • Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring. • Adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
WORK HOURS: • Full-Time-Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd). • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
