PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to find a highly skilled Test Architectural and Design Engineer who is ready to shape how advanced aerospace systems are validated and brought to life. In this role, you will architect and deliver end-to-end test solutions that ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of cutting-edge aviation technologies. From concept through production and sustainment, your work will directly influence product quality and engineering excellence across critical aerospace programs.
Architect and implement end-to-end test solutions for components, subsystems, and full programs
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, libraries, and fixtures
Translate product and feature requirements into scalable, efficient test architectures
Integrate hardware and software test environments while managing dependencies
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability documentation
Design and build test fixtures and equipment for development and production
Execute tests, analyze results, and track defects through resolution
Ensure test code quality, reusability, and long-term maintainability
Lead cross-functional technical reviews and validation efforts
Perform verification, validation, ATP, and ESS testing
Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot test equipment to support ongoing production
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test failures
Train engineers and lab technicians on test systems and processes
Drive modernization of test platforms, infrastructure, and toolchains
Champion best practices and alignment across engineering, manufacturing, and validation teams
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
5+ years of experience in test architecture and design
5+ years of hands-on experience performing engineering tests
Experience designing and supporting test equipment for new and production systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain test equipment
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
10+ years of experience in test architecture, design, and execution
Experience leading test programs and driving cross-functional initiatives
Background in mentoring engineers and lab technicians
Advanced experience with test infrastructure modernization and automation

Competitive compensation: from $70 to $90 per hour
Stable schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
