JOB TITLE: Autoclave Operation Technician I

Summary:

Set up and operate autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic and non-metallic aircraft parts and assemblies.

Assist in selecting parts and assemblies for simultaneous bonding based on processing requirements and autoclave capacity.

Load and position racks, tools, and assemblies within autoclaves.

Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to tool ports and internal fittings.

Maintain a clean and organized work area; support FOD and 5S programs; comply with all safety regulations.

Retrieve lay-up tools from storage and prepare/release them for bond room operations.

Assist with breakdown and cleaning of tools after curing.

Store cleaned tools in designated areas.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of one (1) year of related or autoclave operational experience.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Basic understanding of manufacturing procedures and standard shop math.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work any shift.

Valid driver s license required (to obtain GAC cart and forklift certification).

Basic operational knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, electric tow mules, and related equipment.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-Stamp within 12 months of hire.

Understanding of approved processes associated with autoclave operations.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
