Role Overview
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dynamic Employee Development Specialist to support a leading aviation organization in Everett, WA.
In this 6-month, full-time consulting role, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing the skills, knowledge, and performance of aerospace manufacturing teams. By designing and delivering impactful training programs, you will directly influence workforce readiness, operational excellence, and safety across critical aviation programs.
This is a second-shift position (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) offering a competitive pay starting at of $44.14 per hour.
What You’ll Do
As an Employee Development Specialist, you’ll lead the design and delivery of training initiatives that empower teams and elevate performance across aerospace manufacturing operations.
Your responsibilities include:
Conducting learning needs assessments and defining clear training objectives
Designing, developing, and customizing curriculum, course materials, and instructional guides
Delivering engaging training sessions using a variety of teaching methods and tools
Serving as a lead instructor in specialized aerospace skill areas (Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, etc.)
Facilitating learning events, coaching sessions, and knowledge transfer activities
Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness and learner performance
Performing individual and group assessments and recommending performance improvements
Leading Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify and mentor additional instructors
Ensuring all training aligns with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
Maintaining a positive, productive learning environment and addressing classroom challenges proactively
Collaborating with stakeholders to refine curriculum and improve training outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
Experience in coaching, instructing, or employee development roles
Proven experience designing and delivering curriculum and training programs
Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certifications
Hands-on experience in Structural, Electrical, Systems, Repair, or Functional Testing environments
Background as a mechanic or technician working with aerospace systems
Experience in Electrician, Structural, Wing, or Spar Assembly environments
Knowledge of needs assessment and job analysis methodologies
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically 6+ years of related experience (or advanced degree with fewer years of experience)

Pay Details: $44.14 per hour
