Role Overview

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Cable and Harness Technician to support a leading aerospace innovator, at its Gilbert Manufacturing Center in Gilbert, Arizona. In this full-time, 6-month consulting role, you will play a critical part in building the cable and harness systems that power next-generation aerospace and defense technologies—products designed to perform flawlessly in orbit and beyond.

This is a 2nd shift, 9/80 schedule position (3:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday–Friday) offering $56.12/hour, ideal for experienced technicians who take pride in precision, quality, and hands-on technical excellence.


What You’ll Do

As a Cable and Harness Technician, you will be responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of complex cable and wire harness systems that are essential to mission success.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Manufacturing cable and wire harness assemblies with accuracy and consistency
  • Reading and interpreting work instructions, schematics, wire lists, and engineering drawings
  • Ensuring all work complies with ISO procedures, operation sheets, and quality standards
  • Maintaining strict attention to detail to ensure product completeness and reliability
  • Performing ESD-safe assembly practices and precision crimping operations
  • Communicating regularly with shop leads and management regarding production status and technical issues
  • Supporting schedule adherence and production workflow requirements
  • Upholding a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production, or logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience with ESD procedures and crimping techniques
  • Ability to obtain certification in IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of a technical trade school
  • Current certification in IPC WHMA-A-620 and/or NASA-J-STD or similar electronics workmanship certifications
  • Experience using MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) for workflow, documentation, and sign-off processes

Pay Details: $56.12 per hour
