Role Overview

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Facilities Construction Administrator to support a leading aviation organization in Portland, OR.

In this 12-month, full-time consulting role, you’ll play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing major facilities and construction projects that directly support aerospace operations. From concept to completion, your work will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory and operational standards.

This is a first-shift position (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM) offering a competitive pay starting  of $41.13 per hour.

What You’ll Do

As a Facilities Construction Administrator, you’ll oversee and coordinate complex construction and facilities projects, ensuring seamless execution across multiple stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include:

• Evaluating contractor proposals to ensure fair and reasonable pricing
• Supporting contractor selection, contract awards, and change negotiations
• Developing comprehensive work packages including budgets, schedules, drawings, specifications, and statements of work
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams including design, safety (SHEA), security, IT/network infrastructure, and operations
• Creating conceptual layouts and designs using tools like AutoCAD
• Leading constructability reviews and ensuring project feasibility
• Monitoring project execution, including construction activities, relocations, and utility shutdowns
• Managing budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to meet project objectives
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and organizational regulations
• Maintaining detailed project documentation, including permits, contracts, and as-built drawings
• Supporting project closeout activities and ensuring proper record retention for audits and compliance
• Providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Logging and tracking project requests within work management systems

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction management or facilities project management
• Strong background in managing construction projects from planning through execution
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Experience developing cost estimates, schedules, and project documentation
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (city, state, federal) and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, or highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with work management systems and project tracking tools
• Experience supporting large-scale or complex facilities projects
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

Education & Experience

• Typically 6+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced degrees or certifications may substitute for some experience
