Chipton-Ross is seeking an ECLSS NX Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): 7+ years of relevant CAD/Design experience. Experience working in aerospace design. Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings. Demonstrated development and configuration management experience on technically complex hardware products. Knowledge of mechanical engineering design and manufacturing. Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41. Expertise with Siemens NX. High level of expertise in GD&T.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Own design and drawings for thermal hardware from conceptual phase through product release and manufacture. Ownership of the BOM, mass tracking and hardware release Define and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems and support design trades.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Expertise with Teamcenter. Experience with tube routing. Experience with soft goods such as MLI. Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skills. Ability to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers. Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited Bachelor's Degree.
