PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Microelectronic Technician to support a leading innovator in the aviation industry. In this hands‑on role, you’ll operate state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor equipment that enables next‑generation aviation systems. Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (6–24 Months)
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA
Schedule: Three shift options available
1st Shift (4/10): Monday–Thursday, 4am–3pm
2nd Shift (4/10): Monday–Thursday, 2:30pm–1:30am
1st Shift (3/10): Friday–Sunday, 4am–3pm
Pay Rate: Up to $29.00 per hour
As a Microelectronic Technician, you will support semiconductor fabrication processes that are essential to aviation advancements. By ensuring equipment performance and process accuracy, you help engineers and production teams maintain the precision and reliability that this industry demands.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Operating, monitoring, and maintaining semiconductor processing equipment such as photolithography, etch, deposition, metrology, and packaging tools.
Loading and unloading wafers while ensuring accurate handling and documentation.
Performing equipment startups, shutdowns, and calibrations.
Assisting with troubleshooting and recovery of process deviations or equipment-related issues.
Following detailed work instructions, SOPs, and cleanroom safety protocols.
Maintaining precise production logs and data records.
Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians on process improvements.
Upholding strict cleanliness and safety standards within the cleanroom environment.
High school diploma or GED
Strong computer and communication skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (gowning required)
Ability to handle small, delicate components with precision
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work designated shifts, including nights or weekends
Team-oriented mindset and clear communication skills
Experience working in a FOD-controlled laboratory environment
Familiarity with shop order systems or manufacturing execution systems (MES)
Associate degree or technical training in Electronics or a related field
Experience with legacy semiconductor tools (wet and dry processes)
Exposure to high-mix, low‑volume R&D or prototyping environments
Understanding of semiconductor process flows across front-end and back-end fabrication
