Summary:
Perform inspection and quality assurance activities across multiple mechanical and structural classifications
Conduct inspections of fasteners and hardware, including rivets, bolts, lockbolts, and composite fasteners
Research and create NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) in MES
Support root cause analysis and document corrective actions (non-disciplinary)
Prepare and submit test and investigation statements as required
Perform process and hardware audits and surveillances
Support Level B inspection requirements and related quality functions
Participate in training and assist in training others as needed
Obtain inspector stamp within required timeframe after onboarding/training
Work within Composite Fabrication and Composite Structure environments (including 787 program work)
Operate in both Cleanroom (initial barrel fabrication process) and structural assembly environments
Requirements:
2 5+ years of relevant inspection or manufacturing experience (2+ years considered with strong experience)
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Systems / Payload Structures Mechanic
Assembly Mechanic A
Fuselage Assembly Mechanic A
Underwing Composites Mechanic A
Metals Mechanic A
Process Mechanic A3
Ability to qualify for Systems inspection function
Experience with NCR creation and MES systems
Knowledge of fastener and hardware inspection, including:
Solid rivets
Blind fasteners
Hex-drive bolts
Lockbolts
Bolts and nuts
Composite fasteners
Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action documentation
Experience with precision inspection tools and quality processes
Ability to pass required QA certifications and training assessments
Familiarity with composite manufacturing environments (preferred, especially 787 program)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
