PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the manufacturing industry to find an experienced Inspector who thrives on precision and quality. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring aerospace components meet exacting standards—supporting safety, performance, and innovation through advanced Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection.
What You’ll Do Day to Day
CMM Setup & Calibration
Set up and calibrate CMM systems based on specific measurement requirements
Adjust parameters and tooling to ensure highly accurate readings
Inspection & Measurement
Operate CMM equipment to perform detailed dimensional inspections
Record, analyze, and document measurement data
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between measurements and engineering specifications
Quality Assurance
Conduct routine inspections and quality checks
Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to identify defect trends and drive corrective actions
Prepare, maintain, and present clear inspection and quality reports
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain efficiency
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with engineering and production teams to address and resolve quality issues
Clearly communicate inspection results and quality standards across teams
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree
Certification in quality control and/or CMM operation
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and interpreting engineering drawings
Key Skills
Proficiency in CMM programming and measurement software
Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Comfortable adapting to a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
Compensation & Bonus:
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Subco Bonus Program – Earn up to $3,000!
$1,000 at 14 days with perfect attendance
$1,000 at 60 days
$1,000 at 90 days (Must receive 14-day bonus to qualify for 60- and 90-day bonuses)
Total potential bonus: $3,000
Shift:
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
