PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the manufacturing industry to find an experienced Inspector who thrives on precision and quality. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring aerospace components meet exacting standards—supporting safety, performance, and innovation through advanced Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection. 

What You’ll Do Day to Day 

CMM Setup & Calibration 

• Set up and calibrate CMM systems based on specific measurement requirements 

• Adjust parameters and tooling to ensure highly accurate readings 

Inspection & Measurement 

• Operate CMM equipment to perform detailed dimensional inspections 

• Record, analyze, and document measurement data 

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between measurements and engineering specifications 

Quality Assurance 

• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks 

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to identify defect trends and drive corrective actions 

• Prepare, maintain, and present clear inspection and quality reports 

Troubleshooting & Maintenance 

• Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues 

• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain efficiency 

Collaboration & Communication 

• Partner with engineering and production teams to address and resolve quality issues 

• Clearly communicate inspection results and quality standards across teams 

What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control 

• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Technical degree 

• Certification in quality control and/or CMM operation 

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and interpreting engineering drawings 

Key Skills 

• Proficiency in CMM programming and measurement software 

• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills 

• Exceptional attention to detail 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment 

• Comfortable adapting to a fast-paced manufacturing setting 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand for extended periods 

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally 

Compensation & Bonus: 

• Pay Rate: $23.00/hour 

• Subco Bonus Program – Earn up to $3,000! 

  • $1,000 at 14 days with perfect attendance 

  • $1,000 at 60 days 

  • $1,000 at 90 days (Must receive 14-day bonus to qualify for 60- and 90-day bonuses) 

  • Total potential bonus: $3,000 

Shift: 

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
