Role Summary & Impact

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes that support advanced aerospace and defense programs. Supporting the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) team, you’ll help drive production rate increases and next-generation technology upgrades.

Your expertise will directly influence production efficiency, product quality, and delivery performance—ensuring mission-critical systems are built to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, strategies, and production plans
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and build documentation
• Lead integration of suppliers, materials, processes, and technologies into manufacturing operations
• Develop tooling concepts and manage tooling lifecycle from design through disposition
• Conduct producibility assessments and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize build flows
• Analyze manufacturing performance and prepare cost estimates and build analyses
• Identify and resolve complex manufacturing issues impacting cost, schedule, or quality
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve cycle times
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Develop scheduling templates, work statements, and process documentation
• Support benchmarking and implementation of best practices across the enterprise

This is a fully onsite role in Huntsville, AL, working 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday).

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and production support
• Strong experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and standardized processes
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
• Proven problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• U.S. Person status required (must meet export compliance requirements)
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (post-start)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a STEM-related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Model-Based Design and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with MES systems (e.g., MESci) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems (e.g., CompassContract)
• Experience with engineering data management tools such as Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter
• Strong collaboration and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts
• Experience supporting defense or aerospace manufacturing programs
