Summary:
Works in a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to develop and author manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, fabrication, material handling, and production operations
Leverages deep knowledge of materials, structures, and manufacturing processes to define operation sequences, drive operational excellence, and improve efficiency
Evaluates equipment and tooling performance, identifies inefficiencies, and implements corrective actions to ensure optimal production performance
Provides input to product design and engineering teams to improve manufacturability, tooling usage, and production methods
Works within a model-based engineering environment (3DX) and supports periodic travel requirements
Requirements:
Active Secret clearance required (ability to obtain SAP within 6 weeks of submission)
10+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience, including structural assembly and fabrication tools
3+ years of experience using 3DX (CATIA V5 acceptable, recent within last 5 years)
Highly proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading
Experience in new product introduction (NPI), prototype, or first article programs
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures
Working knowledge of metallic part machining
Experience in aerospace structural assembly or equivalent environments
Ability to work independently and within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
Strong technical background with ability to make critical program decisions
Strong experience in aerospace manufacturing operations
Comfortable working in collaborative IPT environments
Ability to support periodic travel requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Tool fabrication experience
Experience authoring tooling or assembly work instructions
Manufacturing engineering support on the production floor
Aircraft or aerospace vehicle assembly experience
Experience creating 2D technical drawings (blueprints)
