PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Stockroom Operations / Material Handling Specialist to support a top aviation innovator in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will ensure that essential materials, components, and inventory flow smoothly through the facility—directly impacting production quality, speed, and reliability in cutting‑edge aerospace programs.

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift (2pm–10:30pm)
Pay Rate: $16.05 per hour
As part of the Stockroom and Material Handling team, you will support the receiving, shipping, inventory control, and packaging activities that keep high‑precision aviation manufacturing running on schedule. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help ensure critical components are handled, tracked, and delivered correctly—every time.
You will perform a wide variety of manual and administrative tasks that support stockroom and inventory operations, including:
Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming materials; escalate discrepancies as needed
Load and unload trucks using appropriate lifting equipment
Identify materials using part markings, color codes, container labels, and documentation
Use material handling equipment and packaging tools safely and effectively
Perform bulk counting using scales and tape‑and‑reel counters
Fill orders according to Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements
Package materials using proper techniques to avoid damage
Store, shelve, and organize inventory following established procedures
Conduct cycle counts and record results
Generate labels, complete computer transactions, and update inventory systems
Support the customer service window and process basic material requisitions
Track materials physically and systematically
Build and break down boxes, dispose of materials properly, and maintain packaging supplies
Assist with Shipping/Receiving workflows and support team projects
Train other employees as needed
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 35 lbs unassisted (occasionally up to 50 lbs for Shipping/Receiving), stand or sit for extended periods, bend, squat, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive material-handling motions.
Work Environment:
Requires use of static‑control gear and PPE; exposure to chemicals, adhesives, fumes, hot sealing equipment, and various material‑handling tools.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of directly related stockroom or material handling experience
Strong reading, math, and computer skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Experience using basic measuring instruments
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to distinguish colors and meet vision requirements
Steel‑toe shoes required on start date
Experience in stockroom, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing environments
Familiarity with inventory systems, desktop instructions, and production documentation
Prior experience with Non‑Conforming Material (NCM) tagging or MES systems
Strong customer service orientation
