Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Goleta, CA (On‑site at 600 Pine Ave)
Schedule: 9x80A
Pay Rate: Starting at $36.39 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a hands‑on problem solver supporting facility reliability and operational readiness within the Deployables Operating Unit. Expect a role that keeps you active, engaged, and making a real difference every day.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to prevent equipment and facility breakdowns.

• Perform EHS inspections, including fire extinguisher, eye wash, and emergency light checks.

• Carry out machine maintenance tasks and minor plumbing repairs.

• Perform routine cleaning and workspace upkeep as needed.

• Respond promptly to internal facilities requests.

• Coordinate with and escort outside vendors and suppliers.

• Support work cell setup and close‑down activities.

• Move equipment, tables, and shop aids between storage and manufacturing areas.

• Design and assemble shadowboards for production toolboxes.

What You’ll Bring: Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Strong problem‑solving and collaboration abilities

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

• Valid Driver’s License

• US Citizenship (required for employment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to be on‑call for critical processes, major project startups, or contractor coordination

• Experience or certification in HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs

• Familiarity with Maintenance Connect or similar maintenance systems

• Experience with 5S or lean manufacturing principles

• Experience leading or facilitating cross‑functional team projects
