Chipton-Ross is seeking a Janitor for a direct opportunity in Torrance, CA.
Client is offering salary increases twice a year. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): •Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets •Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Ability to operate equipment and machineryIntegrity and ability to work independently or as a team member •The Janitor position requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. •May use ladders and machinery like buffing machine, floor cleaning, vacuum cleaner. •Ability to lift, carrying up to 40 lbs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Clean and maintain designated spaces both inside and outside of the facility on a daily basis, which includes the lobby, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, parking lot and public areas. •Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, shampoo carpets, wash windows and empty trash on a daily basis. •Maintain and stock supply rooms and bathrooms as needed. •Perform light maintenance and repair. •Check for potential safety issues or needed repairs on a daily basis and bring them to the attention of the Facility Manager. •Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: •Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS: •Full-Time •1st Shift •Must have the ability to work 2nd shift as needed.
