PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire a skilled Inspector – Fabrication/Assembly. In this role, you’ll be a critical guardian of quality—ensuring that aircraft structures and systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Your expertise will directly impact the integrity of advanced aerospace programs, including composite fabrication and structural assembly for next-generation aircraft.

What You’ll Do

As an Inspector, you’ll take ownership of quality assurance across fabrication and assembly processes:

• Perform inspections across systems, payload structures, fuselage, composites, and metallic assemblies
• Conduct process and hardware audits and surveillance activities
• Verify compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Investigate nonconformances and document root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Create and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) in MES systems
• Perform detailed inspections on fasteners, rivets, bolts, and composite structures
• Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Certify for systems inspection functions and obtain required inspection stamp
• Participate in testing (written and practical) for sealing, electrical bonding, and inspection processes
• Support training initiatives and mentor team members as needed
• Work in cleanroom and structural environments to support composite fabrication processes

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or inspection (aerospace preferred)
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, fasteners, and inspection techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action documentation
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection processes
• Willingness and ability to pass required written and practical certification tests
• Ability to work in both cleanroom and structural assembly environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with composite fabrication and 787 program structures
• Certification or experience in systems inspection functions
• Familiarity with MES systems and NCR documentation processes
• Background in multiple mechanic classifications (Structures, Composites, Metals, etc.)
