Assembly Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Assembly Technicians to support structural and mechanical assembly operations in Kinston, NC. This role is ideal for skilled assemblers who are comfortable working from engineering drawings and performing precision structural work in a production environment.
Location: Kinston, NC
Pay: $34.00-$37.31/HR Based on experience
Shift: Monday-Friday; Monday to Friday (Available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift operations) Must be able to work overtime/weekends per business needs
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant- 3-Month Contract (Strong potential for Extension)
Assemble and install mechanical and structural components including panels, frames, modules, and subassemblies
Perform drilling, countersinking, fastening, sealing, painting, and varnishing operations
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and change documents
Set up and operate manual and portable assembly equipment
Perform rework, modifications, and disassembly/reassembly as required
Conduct continuity checks, functional testing, and in-process inspections
Use precision measuring tools to verify conformance
Complete required production documentation and system transactions
Move materials and components safely within the manufacturing area
2–4 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Experience with structural assembly processes (drilling, fastening, sealing)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Aerospace structural assembly experience
Experience as a Structures Assembler/Installer
Familiarity with sealants, paints, varnishes, and surface finishing processes
Fast-paced production environment
Precision structural assembly work
