Summary:
Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication, including:
Galleys
Closets
Lavatories
Bulkheads
Doors & panels
Trim, carpeting, cabinetry, and soundproofing
Ensure all work meets FAA, repair station, company, and quality requirements.
Mentor and train Interior Installation Technicians, reviewing work for quality compliance.
Lead projects and coordinate materials, documentation, and task execution as needed.
Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts, squawks, and work sign-offs.
Use hand and power tools including band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.
Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, fasteners, hardware, and fittings.
Support Lean/continuous improvement initiatives, safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards.
Assist with aircraft maintenance activities and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight test activities as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of aircraft interior installation, fabrication, or related experience.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Experience using hand tools and power tools related to aircraft interiors installation/removal.
Advanced knowledge of aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes, including:
Galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels
Composite materials such as Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, and acrylic
Must be computer literate.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
