Schedule: Must be flexible to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shift)
Pay Rate: $37.31/HR
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Aircraft Painters to join our team! In this role you are responsible for applying protective and decorative finishes to company products, aircraft, assemblies, parts, and test coupons. This role supports manufacturing operations through painting, surface preparation, coating applications, inspection, and minor assembly while following all safety, quality, and customer requirements. Training will be provided to perform all required job functions.
Apply finishes to company products, aircraft, assemblies, parts, and test coupons
Perform surface preparation using pneumatic sanders or by hand
Conduct painting, media blasting, masking, stenciling, part identification marking, and hand-finishing operations
Perform coating application, repair, rework, and minor assembly
Read and work from blueprints, process instructions, customer specifications, job aids, and work instructions
Operate job-related equipment such as hand tools, power tools, air tools, computers, ovens, and overhead cranes
Perform self-inspections of in-process and finished work
Enter required data into the database
Maintain paint booths and paint mix rooms according to “Clean as You Go” standards
Conduct routine minor equipment maintenance (cleaning paint equipment, replacing O-rings, packings, valves, etc.)
Work from elevated platforms such as lifts, scaffolding, and ladders
Manufacturing and paint booth environment
Exposure to paints, coatings, and solvents
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
Previous Aircraft Painting Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to stand, lift, reach, and perform repetitive motions
Work at heights using lifts and scaffolding
