Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Consultant-Possible temp to perm
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1st Shift)
Pay Rate: $23.04 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician to support a premier aerospace partner in Wichita, KS. In this hands-on role, you will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft systems by performing essential maintenance, repairs, and overhaul activities.

In this role, you will work in a repair and overhaul shop environment, supporting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Daily responsibilities include:
Perform basic and semi-complex aircraft maintenance tasks.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled repairs to ensure airworthiness and compliance.
Manually maneuver large aircraft wheels and brakes (rolling, lifting).
Mix and apply primer and paint for component finishing.
Handle general shop upkeep, performing equipment maintenance as needed.
Apply the principles of Five S’s to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Identify opportunities to remove non-value-added steps and reduce waste.
Maintain high standards of safety and identify potential hazards.
Support and participate in continuous improvement activities and events.
Provide limited training to other technicians when qualified.
Properly handle hazardous waste in accordance with all regulatory and corporate guidelines.
Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (with lift assist or buddy system for heavier items).
Perform other assigned duties in support of maintenance and overhaul operations.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and manual maneuvering of components.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience in an aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environment.
Familiarity with paint/primer mixing and application.
Understanding of shop safety practices and hazardous waste handling procedures.
Previous experience in a fast-paced production or maintenance environment.
