Summary:
Lead and manage CNC mill/lathe cell operations, including setup, programming, and operation
Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam)
Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and 3D tool models
Perform in-process quality control using inspection tools and techniques
Machine a wide range of materials including steels, alloys, aluminum, titanium, superalloys, plastics, composites, and additive manufacturing (AM) parts
Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate actively in ESH programs
Train and mentor junior machinists on setup, inspection, and tooling best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and meet production goals
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in tool-and-die fabrication, including at least 6 years leading CNC mill/lathe cell operations
Proven proficiency with CNC setup and programming (G-code, M-code, etc.) and CAM software (Mastercam or similar)
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation; ability to work with 3D tool models
Familiarity with inspection tools and ability to perform in-process quality control
Experience machining steels, alloys, aluminum, titanium, superalloys, plastics, composites, and additive manufacturing (AM) parts
Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss complex technical concepts with cross-functional teams
Commitment to safety; active participation in ESH-compliant programs and proactive hazard identification
Ability and willingness to train junior machinists on setup, inspection, and best practice tooling techniques
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
