Your Role: Transform Design into World-Class Manufacturing

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an innovative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you’ll bridge engineering and production—developing manufacturing strategies, optimizing processes, and implementing advanced technologies that bring aircraft designs to life.

Your expertise will directly influence efficiency, cost, and quality across critical aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop manufacturing and tooling plans

• Define and guide requirements for assembly processes, tooling simulations, and production configurations

• Identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and performance

• Apply process engineering principles to optimize production workflows

• Conduct trade studies and cost analyses to support design and manufacturing decisions

• Support and help lead integrated product and process teams (IPTs)

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

• Contribute expertise in areas such as:

  • Composite/non-metallic materials

  • Electrical and electronics systems

  • Machining and fabrication

  • Sheet metal and structural assemblies

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience, OR

• Master’s degree with 3–6 years of experience, OR

• PhD/JD with 0–3 years of experience

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles

• Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams

• Ability to analyze data, conduct trade studies, and support cost decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and tooling simulations

• Expertise in one or more areas: composites, electrical systems, machining, sheet metal, or structures

• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset

• Experience working within integrated product teams (IPTs)
