Your Role: Shape Supplier Strategy & Fuel Operational Excellence

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Commodity Management Specialist within the Mechanical Fabrications group. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier performance, and drive cost-saving opportunities that directly influence production success and profitability.

This is your chance to operate at the intersection of supply chain strategy, supplier partnerships, and aerospace innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for mechanical fabrication suppliers

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including cost reduction, pricing mitigation, and supplier optimization

• Conduct RFQs, analyze bids, and build data-driven business cases

• Negotiate contracts, including Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and complex supplier agreements

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

• Drive supplier development and transition work to high-performing suppliers

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to support new program launches

• Lead supplier recovery plans and performance improvement initiatives

• Support make/buy and buy/make decisions to optimize production efficiency

• Collaborate cross-functionally to align sourcing strategies with business objectives

• Drive special projects that enhance supplier capabilities and operational outcomes

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience

• 3+ years in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Commodity Management

• 1+ year of contract negotiation experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

• Strong communication and presentation skills, including senior leadership engagement

• Project management experience
